Uniting Communities: Empowering Action Plans to Protect Girls from Harm in Six Sierra Leone Chiefdoms

Uniting Communities: Empowering Action Plans to Protect Girls from Harm in Six Sierra Leone Chiefdoms.

Through the channel support to Action Aid -SL I was contacted to Facilitate and develop Community driven action plan in six chiefdoms Wara Wara yagala, Sengbeh, Gbonkobo Kayaka, Kalian, Diang and Thamiso. These were not merely an event, it was a movement of conscience and compassion.

‎When a community stands together, change becomes possible. We visited these locations because when we protect one girl, we safeguard the future of an entire generation.

‎Through open discussions, shared experiences, and community-driven solutions, we were able to:

‎Build alliances among stakeholders for community surveillance, advocacy, and prevention through an action plan.

‎Empower parents and leaders to protect girls through culture that nurtures, not harms.

‎Let’s join hands🤝 to say with one voice: No girl should suffer in silence. No child should be cut. Her body, her right, her future depends on us all.
